riversidelakes is set in 22 acres of East Dorset countryside. we are about 20min from the beaches of Bournemouth and a similar distance from the New Forest.

we have tried to create a chilled out campsite that we would like to come to ourselves - it's a little bit different but, equally, not too grungy. there aren't tons of facilities but just enough to keep you comfortable. within reason we try and keep vehicles out of the site, but we do supply wheely trolleys for you to get your gear back and forth. we do not want hoards of screaming kids or loud drunken groups but welcome nice respectful people to share in the experience.

importantly, we must point out up front that we are a certificated camping & caravanning club site and as such we can only offer limited availability for non-members. it's pretty cheap to join and membership opens up a whole world of hidden campsites across the UK. you can join the club here or when you arrive on-site.

amongst others we have dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, badgers & deer so visiting dogs are very welcome as long as they don’t eat or annoy any of the other residents – this goes for visiting campers too.

for the benefit of both neighbours and fellow campers we have a strict noise limitation from 11.00pm right through to 9.00am so if you are a group and want to "party" late, its probably not the right place for you. we run our site with one philosophy: “be nice or leave".
